AVITAL
-
Nurtured
in the Pacific Northwest, Avital releases from her Northern Idaho
studio the first in a series of
Gicleé
prints. Avital's work endeavors to
embody her passion for G-d and Torah as well as the peacefulness in
the Jewish way of life.
-
Avital
received her early education in art studying in the Northwest, later
enriching her education at Notre Dame University, while continuing to
compete and participate in invitationals across the country. Many
original pieces have found homes in prestigious private and museum
collections on both coasts. Original art by the artist is rare due to
the competitive nature of her earlier work.
-
In
1996 Avital’s Seder plate “Aliyah” joined the work of 24 fellow
finalists in the Phillip and Sylvia Spertus Judaica Prize competition
and exhibition that followed. Other works of Ritual art by the artist
have shown in such fine exhibitions as “Raising Miriam’s Cup" and
“Works of Faith.” All pieces are individual in design finished in
24 K gold leaf which reflects the warmth of Jewish ceremony.
-
As
an artist Avital redefines herself with each creation, translating her
most private emotions to color and shape. Owning an original Avital,
to the artist, means sharing a part of her soul. The artist’s limited
eyesight has never hindered her work only challenged her to reach
further within for the next opportunity to create.
-
- “The
desire to create is something very special we share with G-d, the
ultimate Artist. I thank Him for each and every inspiration.”
